This Old Fashioned Raisin Pie has been around a long time for a reason. If you are a fan of raisins, definitely give this one a try.

If you love raisin desserts, you will want to try our Old Fashioned Raisin Cake too. It has wonderful reviews and it’s perfect for a small gathering.
❤️WHY WE LOVE THIS RECIPE
We love raisin desserts and this one is a classic for a reason. The sweetness of raisins, with the cinnamon and vanilla, is wonderful. Rum is also an optional ingredient in this pie; some substitute it for lemon juice. We have made it many times without it, and it was delicious. We love to do lattice on the top and it makes this pie look beautiful on any dessert table!
SWAPS
Rum is also an optional ingredient in this pie. We have made it many times without it, and it was delicious. We like to make a homemade crust for this recipe, but you can easily use a store-bought to save you time. If you do use a store-bought bought we prefer the Pillsbury ones, which you can roll out. You can also cover the top with another crust and avoid creating a lattice design. That is totally up to you.
ADDED NOTES
This pie is made in a regular pie pan, not a deep dish. It will also keep for 4-5 days and we like to keep it in a cool place or the refrigerator.

⭐TIP
Some people love this pie topped with ice cream or whipped cream. It’s delicious either way.
